Description
Rachele Torlasco Bosca, a distinguished member of the Bosca family and a dedicated scholar of wild plants, devoted much of her life to developing an herbal product that could support both body and spirit. In the 1950s, during a dinner conversation, she was struck by stories about the remarkable digestive and liver-stimulating benefits of the cardoon from Nizza Monferrato. Inspired, she began studying the vegetable the very next day, eventually developing a recipe that combined cardoon with select herbs through alcohol maceration.
A truly unique spirit, Cardamaro is a moscato wine based amaro that can also be categorized as a vermouth! Coming from the Bosca Family in Piedmont, the two driving botanicals are cardoon and “blessed thistle”. It is light, aromatized and great for cocktail use.
